My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a little over 2 years now. We have tried 3 rounds of Clomid with my OB/GYN, 2 ultrasounds and an HSG dye test (which was not fun at all). We are going to The Fertility Institute in Metairie, LA. I have to say that my first visit with them was AMAZING! The staff and doctors treat you really well and are quick to answer your questions and to call you back if you need to leave a message. They were able to tell me on my first visit that they think I have luteal phase defect. This means that instead of having 14 days between ovulation and a period, I only have about 7 days from ovulation to a period. Next month will be our first month of closely monitored fertility treatments. I am very excited and nervous to start this new adventure in my life. When the treatments begin I will be sure to post all about them.
